Playboy Germany’s editor-in-chief Florian Boitin recently said that Hugh Hefner had a tradition of being “resolutely opposed [to] any form of exclusion and intolerance.”
Then Hef is looking down from the afterworld with complete approval.
The German edition of the long-running men’s magazine will soon spotlight a transgender person.
Giuliana Farfalla is a 21-year-old model who was a contestant on Germany’s Next Topmodel. Now, she will be the first transgender on her country’s Playboy cover.
Giuliana was born Pascal Radermacher in Breisgau, a southwest city, and says that when she knew throughout her childhood that she felt she was living in the wrong body.
When she was 16, Pascal underwent gender reassignment and began her life as Giuliana.
Guiliana said she appeared on the reality show, which is hosted and produced by Heidi Klum who also is the head judge, with the hopes of inspiring and encouraging others in the trans community.
