Fans of the horror film genre have been spoiled over these last couple of years. Time and time again, film makers have been delivering movies that are not only good in quality, they’re actually very scary. From big name movies like It to lesser known films like The VVitch, we’ve been blessed with quality pictures of horror. Now, a star from one of our favorite TV shows of the past is getting on the action.
John Krasinsky may be best known for his role as Jim Halpert in NBC’s The Office, but since the series has ended, he’s become quite the player in Hollywood. Not only has he starred in big-budget films like 13 Hours and Aloha, he’s also flexed his acting skill in indies like Away We Go and The Hollars… The latter of which he directed. Now, he’s taking his acting and directing talents to A Quiet Place, a film co-starring his wife, Emily Blunt.
Paramount Pictures describes the film, “In the modern horror thriller A Quiet Place, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. If they hear you, they hunt you.” If that isn’t reason enough to watch, the movie has been praised by critics and early movie goers alike, and it has garnered a 100% from Rotten Tomatoes.
