Being in a relationship is hard. Regardless of how much you love and care about someone, it takes communication, understanding, and honesty to make a relationship work. Many will say being faithful is the most important aspect of a relationship succeeding while others may cite trust.
If you’re in a long distance relationship, all of these things are put to the test more frequently, for obvious reasons, but many couples have found a way to make it work. Kayla Speer thought she and her boyfriend were in that category until a Jimmy John’s delivery guy broke the terrible news that her relationship wasn’t what she thought it was.
Kayla is 23 and lives in West Burlington, Iowa. Her boyfriend goes to school about three hours away. She thought she was being a good girlfriend and ordered him Jimmy John’s. She posted the story to Twitter, and the response has been overwhelming, to say the least.
Anytime someone says they need to share their experience on Twitter, you know you’re going to want to grab the popcorn…
Kayla clarified that the story is about three months old and she never named the dude, so this story wasn’t about shaming anyone. It was probably just cathartic to get it off her chest.
She sounds like a keeper so far. Who doesn’t want Jimmy John’s delivered to them while they’re in the middle of studying for exams?
Places like Jimmy John’s make a name for themselves for their delivery service. Their tagline is even “Freaky fast. Freaky good,” so you know they get these kinds of requests all of the time.
You may be thinking something went wrong with the order or the delivery and she’s posting a gripe about the company, but that wasn’t the issue at all.
