Artist, Corban Lundborg was commissioned by Gabba Gallery in Los Angeles to create 12″ by 12″ paintings for an upcoming show inspired by vinyl. Lundborg immediately knew what he wanted to do.

Describing memories from his childhood, Lundborg admitted that growing up in the 90’s he and his father couldn’t have had a more different taste in music.

His father was an avid rock n’ roller who loved the classics whereas he was much more into the hip-hop side of the musical spectrum.

So, he turned to his roots and combined the two. Taking well-known rock icons and branding their logos across the faces of hip-hop legends.

Using acrylic on wood, Lundborg reinvented some of the greatest musicians the world has ever seen with the stroke of a brush.
