Julius Alpino of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources said that the creature had decomposed so much that it has become impossible to identify.
Images of the creature were captured by a local photographer named Nujnuj Capistrano who said, “I was just passing by the beach and took some photos but I don’t know about the details. I was surprised because it’s too big and it’s the first time I saw that kind of creature.”
He continued, “I don’t know what they did with it but one thing is for sure, the creature was already dead when I saw it. The smell was too bad. I can’t describe it, but it was a bad smell.” Evidently, the smell was so bad that it was considered a health hazard.
The fact that the identity of this creature may never be known makes this story a little more cringeworthy. Hopefully there won’t be any creepy creatures washing up on the shore any time soon.
