Most people in America remember exactly where they were on September 11, 2001 when news that the first of the Twin Towers had been struck by an airplane.
The attacks on the World Trade Center would become the deadliest foreign attacks on American soil since Pearl Harbor in 1941. Nearly 3,000 people were killed, and more than 6,000 were injured.
However, among the stories of extreme tragedy, there were also moments of extreme courage and and selflessness. One of the most memorable of those stories involves actor Steve Buscemi.
Although most people may know Buscemi from his role in shows like Boardwalk Empire and The Sopranos. However, before becoming a star, Buscemi was a New York firefighter.
