Too often, veterans in the United States are forgotten. Although they’ve put themselves in harm’s way to protect the country, a lot of times, their sacrifices aren’t recognized or truly appreciated.

For that reason, many veterans make it a point to look out for each other. Even after their service is done, there is still an unbreakable bond that many vets feel towards one another.

So when marine veteran Phillip Rochette was placed on life support after suffering a stroke, his fellow marines showed up. They were determined to make sure that he didn’t have to go through this terrible ordeal without being surrounded by love.

When Phillip’s family made the difficult decision to discontinue life support, his sister, Denise, wrote a post on Facebook expressing how nice it would be for some of Phillip’s military brothers to be by his side.
