The fascination with Kurt Cobain started long before his untimely passing in 1994. The breakout star of the grunge era built a massive following for both him and Nirvana with his words, his voice and his persona. His legion of fans has only grown over the years, and the more we learn about him, the more the legend continues.
We know Kurt was a passionate artist. His lyrics were a window into his soul, and while we may have lost his presence over 20 years ago, his impact remains. Despite his grunge rocker persona, what many people didn’t know was that Kurt was an avid painter.
These paintings and drawings were showcased at an exhibition hosted at the Seattle Art Fair between August 3-6. Many of the never-before-seen paintings were finally available for the public to check out.
