There’s nothing wrong with breaking a rule from time to time. We’ve all done it here and there, and we’ll all probably do it again. The reality is that there are plenty of rules that are truly a little ridiculous when you think about them. But there are also plenty of other rules that were put in place to keep people safe when common sense simply isn’t enough.

Not smoking (or having any flame for that matter) at gas stations is one of those rules. Everybody knows that gasoline is highly flammable, and unless you want to blow the hell up, you don’t put any sort of fire near it.

But one gas station customer apparently decided to say to hell with this rule when he pulled up at a local station to get gas. The guy, who was pumping his gas while smoking a cigarette, seemed to be completely unbothered by the fact that he was creating a huge fire hazzard.

Eventually, he was approached by a gas station attendant who asked him to put his cigarette out. Of course, he refused, and then things escalated to a level that no one could have imagined.
