If there’s one thing most people can agree on, it’s that flies are pretty annoying. Yeah, they have a place in the ecosystem and blah blah blah, but nobody wants to hear that when there’s a fly buzzing around their ear.

However, the reality is that unless you plan on living your life in an airtight bubble, flies are impossible to avoid. And you’ll probably have to deal with some very annoying moments because of them.

With that being said, nothing is more annoying than having a fly land on your food. We’ve all heard that a fly poops on your food every time it lands, and that’s enough to make almost anyone cringe. But is that age old idea actually true?

Let’s be real, flies aren’t just landing on our food to say what’s up to us, so they have to be doing something, right? Well they’re definitely doing something, but it might not be what you think.
