7. Palpatine – Star Wars
Unlike some other movie villains, Star Wars’ Palpatine has changed a bit over the course of the franchise. According to Wikipedia, “he is depicted as the aged, pale-faced and cloaked Emperor of the Galactic Empire and the master of Darth Vader. In the prequel trilogy, he is portrayed as a charismatic Senator from Naboo who uses deception and political manipulation to rise to the position of Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, and then reorganizes the Republic into the Galactic Empire, with himself as Emperor.”
6. Jack Torrance – The Shining
When it comes to psychological thrillers, The Shining is one of the best, and that’s largely thanks to Jack Torrence’s character. In the beginning of the film, Jack starts off as a loving father and husband, but as the Overlook Hotel’s supernatural forces cause his sanity to deteriorate.
5. Freddy Krueger – Nightmare On Elm Street
Freddy Krueger’s face alone is enough to give most people the creeps. But that coupled with the fact that he’s a serial killer will really send a person into panic mode. Krueger is the main character os the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise and he made his first on screen appearance in 1984.
