We promise, no spoilers here! However, if you haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War yet, it may seem like you’re in the minority and with good reason. The movie opened on April 27th and has already topped the $1 billion mark at the box office. Get this – it hasn’t even opened in China yet. That will actually happen this weekend, which is sure to send the box office figures into the stratosphere. Possibly even to Titan…

That said, the movie is obviously pretty popular (understatement of the multiverse) with some people seeing three and four times. It’s also everywhere. You can’t walk down the street or scroll through your timeline without seeing something Infinity War related.

Most of it is the same thing over and over with people debating and arguing over what happens next for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. But every once in a while something pops up that totally stands out. Kind of like what artist houseofmat did recently when he re-imagined all of the Avengers as 90s stars.

It’s hard to argue that Marvel Studios didn’t nail the casting of each of their superheroes but it’s fun to think about who would play these beloved characters had the MCU existed 20-plus years ago. Take a look at just a few of his recreations…

This guy has a lot of talent, as you can see. This fan-made movie poster of Thanos and The Black Order from Avengers: Infinity War is amazing!

Falcon, Iron Man, Thor

Eddie Murphy, Tom Cruise, and Brad Pitt replacing Anthony Mackie, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Hemsworth? Hmm…interesting, but there will always only be one Iron Man and that’s RDJ!

Vision, Captain America, Hawkeye, War Machine, The Wasp

Dolph Lundgren, Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, Cuba Gooding, Jr., and Sandra Bullock replacing Paul Bettany, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, and Evangeline Lilly. Considering most of these actors are still on the scene, this isn’t too far of a stretch!
