Armed with an arsenal of Pigma Micron felt tip pens, an 11 x 14 Bristol board and a vision, Terry Brown II sat down to render a portrait of Stan The Man comprised of black ink. He lays the foundation with lead pencil and then proceeds to put those pens to work.

When Brown isn’t creating ink portraits of celebrities, he works as an illustrator and animator for a video production company that represents vastly important clientele ranging from the Centers for Disease Control to the U.S. Department of Defense. The Colorado native fancies any avenue of the creative medium, whether it’s writing, music, acting, filmmaking, or even designing toys. The finished portrait of Stan Lee can be seen below:
